June 2026 – Information requests from the Antimonopoly Committee of Ukraine (AMC) are often treated by the recipients as routine events. However, mistakes in responding to such requests may give rise to competition law liability, including incurring significant fines.
The risk arises not only where the necessary information was not submitted, but also where it was submitted late, incomplete or with identified inaccuracies, including in merger control filings, antitrust investigations, and other proceedings before the AMC.
This leaflet outlines the main rules governing such information requests in Ukraine, along with the most common types of information-related infringements, the principal lines of defence recognised by the courts, and practical points that businesses should bear in mind when preparing responses.
