Sayenko Kharenko acted as Ukrainian legal counsel to Citigroup, J.P. Morgan and Morgan Stanley, lead managers of the third USD 1 billion Eurobond issue by Ukraine, guaranteed by the US Agency for International Development (USAID). The bonds were placed at 1.471 per cent p.a. - the lowest interest rate in Ukraine's history.

The proceeds of the issuance will be used to reinforce the programme of economic reforms in Ukraine supported by the IMF, the USAID and other members of the international community. This is the third bond issuance of Ukraine under the US guarantee programme, and Sayenko Kharenko advised on both previous deals in 2014 and 2015.

Sayenko Kharenko team included partner Nazar Chernyavsky, senior associate Olexander Olshansky, and associates Marta Lozenko and Orest Matviychuk.
