The Western States Pact declares that health outcomes and science will guide when the governors of California, Oregon, Washington, Nevada, and Colorado will modify stay at home orders. As these states begin a phased return to work, companies must comply with detailed legal requirements established by various state and local health authorities.

Watch the webinar recording below for a discussion of business-critical topics for employers on the west coast. (Please note: The webinar included live polling as a way to collect and share feedback on the myriad of issues impacting participants.)

Topics include:

  • Western States Pact plan for reopening businesses in California, Washington, Oregon, Colorado, and Nevada
  • Consolidation and limitations of rules across states involved in the pact
  • Practical considerations for reopening, including key safety protocols
  • ADA compliance and accommodations, including temperature checks and other medical exams, and handling employees who refuse to return to work
  • New public accommodation traps for retailers and other businesses
  • Avoiding potential wage-hour risks from reopening and changed operations
  • Compliance tips and potential traps under the Families First Coronavirus Response Act (FFCRA)
