This edition brings to our readers a featured article titled "The Tourism and Hospitality Sector – 2017 The Year Gone By!!".

This year saw several policy decisions and judicial pronouncements impacting the tourism and hospitality sector. Further, along with the policy decisions many initiatives were taken by the Ministry of Tourism to expand the footprint of the tourism and hospitality sector in various unexplored regions in India. The growth of the sector is also attributable on account of a strong market, disposable income and the push towards infrastructure projects enhancing the sector's viability.
