  • The FTC and the State of Nevada announced a proposed order resolving their May 2025 complaint against five individuals, including Chris Terry and Isis Terry, and corporate IM Mastery Academy defendants. The May 2025 complaint alleged that the defendants operated a deceptive marketing scheme using false or baseless earnings claims to persuade consumers to buy into their multi-level marketing business venture, in violation of the FTC Act, the Telemarketing Sales Rule, the Restore Online Shoppers’ Confidence Act, and the State of Nevada’s Deceptive Trade Practices Act. The proposed order imposes a $795.8 million monetary judgment, which will be partially satisfied by the surrender of a wide range of assets. The proposed order also permanently bans the defendants from the sale of trading-training services and investment opportunities.
